- Research shows that food is key to employee satisfaction
- In innovative companies, employees use a greater variety of workspaces
- How Compass can deliver innovation and employee satisfaction on a global scale
Two research findings emphasize the importance of food at work.
During a recent Leesman Index survey on global workplace strategy, management, satisfaction and effectiveness, 250,000 employees were asked the following question:
“Thinking about the work that you do, which of the following service features are important and how satisfied are you with them?”
“Tea, coffee and other refreshment facilities” was voted as the most important feature for workplace satisfaction by 82% of employees while “Restaurant and canteen” was considered top priority by 74% of employees.
Additionally, a Gensler US workplace Survey shows that in workplaces where there is a stronger focus on innovation, the desk is just one of the many places in which employees carry out their work, as they move to and from alternative locations within the office.
Compass can deliver innovation and employee satisfaction on a global scale by creating multi-use food areas..
At Compass we know that our global reach can impact the lives of millions of our consumers and we feel a responsibility to create positive change. Well-designed common food areas are an excellent way of creating working communities that function perfectly well away from their desks by optimising spaces and transforming them throughout the day into collaboration areas, decompression zones and social outlets.
We make it easy for people to make better food choices, create experiences that drive well-being, and encourage a sense of community at a local and global level.
