Across the globe our operational and procurement teams work hard to find innovative ways to help our clients achieve their goals of providing first class staff dining whilst meeting their CSR and sustainability responsibilities.
Our goal within the International Clients’ Programme is always to provide all the benefits of our global scale and combine this with evocative local delivery for our customers who have a global footprint.
A great example of innovation in food service is the “Trenovation’ event organised by our team in Hong Kong.
Innovation can begin within all areas of any business. With corporate social responsibility becoming increasingly important to many global businesses, taking steps to ensure your company is up to date on the current trends and even ahead of the curve can have a resounding impact throughout the entire business. This includes catering services. Think about how important food is in daily life. Applied to employees, it can make for a wealth of happiness in the office, and your business’s choices can also have a tremendous effect on the planet.
So, have you thought about how you can contribute as a decision-maker for your company’s catering services?
That’s exactly what the Trenovation event was designed for, exploring some of the hot topics in the catering industry across the world and those specific to Hong Kong– sustainability, local food producers, healthy eating, food choices and great taste – and how they can be applied to large-scale business-catering requirements.
Taking place on Tuesday, 27 November 2018, Compass Group HK team incorporated the Chinese five elements philosophy into the event with an interactive agenda that explored all the avenues and ideas that can be incorporated into business for positive effects.
The Compass Group Hong Kong team worked with local suppliers to pull together an evocative agenda. These included the Hong Kong Oyster Company, together with the Hong Kong Oyster Cultural and Ecological Association discussing local third generation oyster farming in Hong Kong and the purifying processes that ensure complete safety for local shellfish.
Innovation events like these are organised by our local teams across the globe on a regular basis. The International Clients’ Programme team collate these collective insights, meld them with our global thinking to create ‘on point’ staff dining solutions for our global clients.
